Don't Expect Rate War After Base Rate Cut: HDFC Bank
Ashish Parthasarthy, treasurer of HDFC Bank says the decision to cut base rate by 35 basis points was driven solely by lower cost of funds. The rate cut has not been done to attract customers, so there is no question of a rate war, he added.
