Anurag Thakur Hails 'Historic' Budget, Slams Rahul Gandhi

BJP MP Anurag Thakur, speaking in the Lok Sabha during the Budget discussion, strongly defended the Modi government and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, praising the 2025-26 Budget as historic and transformative. Highlighting women's leadership, he lauded India having a woman President and Finance Minister, calling Indian women "natural economists" with rare foresight.

Thakur described the Budget as a continuation of a 12-year "reform express" under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming it has moved India from "policy paralysis to policy performance." He cited increases in capital expenditure, defence, agriculture, health, and infrastructure spending, along with fiscal deficit control and banking sector reforms.
