No Lockdown in India, Govt Clarifies | Fuel Supply Stable, No Need to Panic


The Government of India has firmly denied all rumours of a nationwide lockdown, stating that no such decision is under consideration. At a high-level inter-ministerial briefing, Union Minister Hardeep Puri and senior officials reassured citizens that there is no need for panic.

Addressing comments made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the Centre clarified that lockdown speculation is "false" and urged people not to believe in misinformation.
