The government is likely to announce nearly Rs 40,000 crore in Budget 2023 for the completion of 84 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to meet its 2024 deadline. NDTV reports from a remote village in Uttar Pradesh where the eligible beneficiaries claim they are yet to get PMAY funds despite applying about five-six times.
