LPG Shortage News | “Country Suffering Due To Foreign Policy Failure”: Kharge On Gas Shortage

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday alleged that the country is facing a gas shortage and blamed the Centre’s foreign policy for the situation. He claimed people are being forced to stand in long queues and accused the government of not paying adequate attention to the issue. The remarks come amid tensions in West Asia following strikes involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, raising concerns over global energy supply. However, the government has strongly denied any shortage. K. H. Muniyappa, Karnataka’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister, said there is no “actual” shortage for domestic or transport use. Authorities have directed Indian Oil Corporation to ramp up supply and warned against black marketing.
