With coronavirus patients in need of plasma outnumbering donors, the Delhi government has ordered that from now onwards if a COVID-19 patient at any hospital needs plasma from the plasma bank it will have to first arrange for a replacement donor. The onus to find a replacement donor will rest entirely upon the nodal officer of that hospital. The decision was taken to maintain stock at the plasma bank at ILBS Hospital, the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences.
