With coronavirus patients in need of plasma outnumbering donors, the Delhi government has ordered that from now onwards if a COVID-19 patient at any hospital needs plasma from the plasma bank it will have to first arrange for a replacement donor. The decision was taken to maintain stock at the plasma bank at ILBS Hospital, the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences.
