Residual fires at the massive dumping yard at Kochi continue for the ninth day even after the inferno was contained on the second day. Authorities are hopeful the fire would be doused by Sunday. The air quality index though has improved from 400 to 112, still it is more than double the permissible limits. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to residents of Kadavanthra in Cochin who've been inhaling toxic fumes through the burning dump yard.
