In an exclusive interview with NDTV's Ajit Jha, senior BJP leader Agnimitra Paul launched a sharp attack on the Mamata Banerjee government, alleging widespread lawlessness, political violence, economic decline, and minority appeasement in West Bengal. Paul claimed that gangs operate openly across districts, women and Hindus are unsafe, and infiltration is being protected by the state. She accused the Trinamool Congress of blocking central welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat, driving industries out of Bengal, and presiding over large-scale unemployment and migration. Asserting that Congress and the Left have become irrelevant in the state, Paul said Bengal is ready for political change and the BJP offers governance, security, development, and social inclusion under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
