A footbal association official was arrested over an alleged assault on two women footballers in Goa. Two women footballers of Khad FC, a Himachal Pradesh-based club, alleged that Deepak Sharma, an executive committee member of the All-India Football Federation assaulted them in their room. Sports Minister Anurag Thakur reacted to the NDTV report and asked for action to be taken. The official accused in the case has been arrested. Is the government doing enough to keep sportswomen safe?
