A disclosure report by Wal-Mart, saying it paid 25 million dollars or Rs 125 crores in the last four years on lobbying for various projects including "enhanced market access for investment in India", has led to a political storm. Lobbying is legal in the US, but the BJP has demanded a probe saying Wal-Mart may have bribed its way into India.
