"We have never seen the Teesta water rise to this level," a local told NDTV.  "The water level reached a bridge and stopped just short of drowning it," he said, pointing to a bridge at a distance. At least 14 people have been killed and 102 others, including 22 soldiers, are missing after the flash floods in Sikkim. According to figures released by the state government, 26 people are injured and over 2,000 have been evacuated so far. Bridges have been washed away and a population of over 22,000 has been affected. Over 3,000 tourists are reportedly stranded. The Army and the NDRF's rescue operations are on.
