An Indian Army report accessed by NDTV indicates a significant reduction in the deployment of People’s Liberation Army forces opposite India’s northern borders during 2025. The report says around 10 PLA Combined Arms Brigade-sized forces remained deployed in areas along the Line of Actual Control and traditional training areas. At the same time, the Indian Army’s deployment across all LAC sectors remains robust, well-positioned and prepared to respond to any emerging contingency.
