Nepal Floods: Second Wave Threat Looms As Barrier Lake Bursts
After a devastating first wave of floods killed hundreds and left more than 1,000 missing, Nepal now faces the threat of another flash flood. A barrier lake formed near the Nepal-China border has reportedly breached its banks, raising fresh fears for communities and rescue teams. In an exclusive conversation with NDTV, disaster risk reduction expert Dr Basanta Raj Adhikari warned of the possibility of a second wave as rescuers remain on high alert.
