Mobile internet has been suspended in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir to prevent any backlash after the Scheduled Tribes bill was passed by the parliament. Gujjar and Bakerwal tribes have been opposing the inclusion of Pahari and other communities in Schedule Tribes. The bill was passed on Tuesday to modify the SC and ST lists.
