Manoj Muntashir On Rahul Gandhi: Country Doesn't Take Him Seriously

Lyricist Manoj Muntashir has criticised Rahul Gandhi while commenting on the Congress leader's proposed student outreach initiative, saying that the country does not take him seriously. Muntashir said he would have preferred Rahul Gandhi to emerge as a strong opposition leader, arguing that democracy requires an effective opposition to hold the government accountable. Calling it a "misfortune" that Rahul Gandhi is currently the Leader of the Opposition, he also expressed hope that stronger opposition leadership would emerge in the future.
