NDTV has accessed exclusive details behind the Enforcement Directorate raids on the office and residence of Pratik Jain, co-founder of Indian Political Action Committee. Investigators have uncovered a Goa elections connection, with alleged proceeds of crime linked to the coal scam being routed out of Kolkata for political activities in Goa. According to ED sources, around ₹20 crore was allegedly transferred through domestic and international hawala channels to an event management firm for use during Goa elections. WhatsApp chats accessed during the probe are said to identify a hawala operator linked to the coal syndicate, forming a key basis for the searches.
