Twenty-eight of 33 people accused of gang-raping a 15-year-old girl multiple times over a period of nine months near Mumbai have been caught, in a case that has left Maharashtra shaken to the core. According to sources, the main accused is a bank recovery agent, and the other accused include dropouts, students and minors. The tragic story began in January when the girl's friend allegedly raped her and filmed the crime. He used the video to blackmail her and rape her again. He allegedly shared the video with many others - friends and acquaintances - and they all used it to blackmail the teen.
