Kedarnath Dham Closes For Winter, CM Dhami Applauds Record Pilgrim Turnout
Following tradition, the portals of the Kedarnath Dham were ceremoniously closed on the occasion of Bhai Dooj on Thursday morning. The Garbha Griha, or the sanctum sanctorum, was sealed at 6 am amid Vedic chants and prayers. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami offered prayers at the shrine, before the idol of Baba Kedar was prepared for its journey to Ukhimath, where it will remain for the next six months at the Omkareshwar Temple.
