India Shouldn't Be Seen as Taking Sides: Salman Khurshid on France and Islamic Backlash

Amid a global debate on Islamophobia vs Islamofascism, India, in an unprecedented position, has openly backed French President Emmanuel Macron, calling the personal attacks on him deplorable. Speaking to NDTV, former foreign minister and senior Congress leader, Salman Khurshid, said, "We have always been seen as non-aligned in more ways than one and I do hope that we will continue to be non-aligned, although very clearly in favour of peace, in favour of humanity .... but beyond that, to fish in troubled waters might not be advisable."
