India Gets First Rafale Jet From France

The Indian Air Force gets an upgrade today with the formal handover of the first of the 36 long-awaited Rafale fighter jets bought from the Dassault Aviation in France. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh accepted the handover at a facility of Rafale manufacturer Dassault Aviation in Bordeaux. The minister called it a historic day for India and France strategic ties. The handover was followed by Shastra Puja - the traditional worship of weapons during Dussehra.
