PM Modi-Emmanuel Macron Set To Seal Historic Rafale Mega Pact

India and France are set to take their defence partnership to unprecedented heights as President Emmanuel Macron arrives for a high-stakes visit. India is preparing to sign its largest defence deal ever - a 3.25 lakh crore contract for 114 Rafale jets, forming up to seven new squadrons. While 18 jets will come in fly-away condition, the majority will be built in India, accelerating indigenous manufacturing. The proposed pact also opens doors to next-gen joint production, including advanced ammunition like Hammer, Scalp and Meteor, marking a major leap in India-France strategic cooperation.
