Heavy rush of pilgrims continues in Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple. On Saturday, 42,354 people had booked for darshan and 27,840 pilgrims visited Sabarimala on Friday. Virtual queue booking is almost complete from December 9 until the end of Makaravilakku festival. About 45,000 people a day, including 40,000 via virtual queue system and 5,000 through spot booking, will have the opportunity for darshan. Police allow pilgrims to enter the shrine after sanitization and gives masks to those who require.
