Heavy Rain Warning Across India; IMD Issues Red Alert For Parts Of Gujarat
The India Meteorological Department has forecast a fresh spell of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across several states, with a red alert issued for parts of Gujarat and an orange alert for regions of south Bengal. A cyclonic circulation over the north Bay of Bengal is driving the weather system, triggering intense monsoon activity across eastern and north-eastern India and expected to enhance rainfall across north-western parts of the country in the coming days.
