What unfolded during the recent students protest clashes, NDTV's Padmaja Joshi spoke to two police personnel injured in separate incidents near Jantar Mantar and Parliament Street. Inspector Pradeep Rai and NK Singh described being attacked while on duty, alleging that stones, bottles and sharp objects were used during the violence. Both officers claimed some individuals involved did not appear to be genuine students and alleged that sections of the crowd had turned aggressive during confrontations with security personnel.
