The flood situation in Assam remains critical, with the death toll rising to 62 and more than 7 lakh people affected across 12 districts. Amid the worsening crisis, PM Modi spoke to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to review the situation and assured all possible assistance from the Centre for relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts.
