Assam Flood Crisis Deepens; Death Toll Nears 100, Over 1.68 Lakh Affected
The flood situation in Assam remains critical, with two more deaths taking this year's flood-related toll to 97. According to official data, more than 1.68 lakh people are now affected across 15 districts, up from around 1.6 lakh a day earlier. Golaghat remains the worst-hit district with nearly 54,000 affected residents, followed by Sivasagar and Jorhat.
