Heavy Rain In Kerala: Water Level Rises In Periyar River, Kochi Temple Submerged

Amid heavy rains in parts of Kerala in the past few weeks, the water level has increased in the Periyar river. Authorities have asked those staying on the banks of the river to stay vigilant. The Aluva Mahadeva Temple in Kochi was submerged due to flooding. Over 2,000 people are in relief camps across the state. Six deaths have so far been reported in Kerala due to heavy rains.
