Heavy rainfall on Monday afternoon caused massive traffic jams, severe waterlogging, and vehicle breakdowns across Gurugram, leaving many commuters stranded. In response to the downpour, authorities have advised all corporate and private institutions to implement work-from-home protocols, while schools have been urged to shift to online classes. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a yellow alert for September 1, warning of rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds during the afternoon and evening.
