Speaking to NDTV, NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Rajiv Kumar said, "The total number of migrants is about 72 million. Half of them are in form of workers. Not more than 5-6 million have moved back. The rest are where they were. As the economy starts they will be back at work. I know the plight of all those who have moved. I am not underestimating human cost of that. But the rest are available for being deployed as soon as economic activity starts."
