Responding to concerns that Washington has backed out of agreements in the past, Goyal stressed that the India-US deal is not a loose framework but a fully detailed and documented agreement built over 12 months of negotiations. He credited the strong relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump for ensuring trust and implementation. According to the minister, the final paperwork will be completed within about six weeks and an executive order reducing US tariffs to 18% is expected soon.
