Ethanol Blending Row | Arvind Kejriwal Links E-20 Rollout To American Pressure
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has launched a sharp attack on the Centre's ethanol blending programme, calling for greater consumer choice and lower fuel prices. Addressing a town hall meeting in Delhi, Kejriwal said people had raised three key demands. First, consumers should be free to choose between E20 fuel and pure petrol at fuel stations. Second, E20 fuel should be sold at a lower price than conventional petrol. Third, petrol prices should be reduced to below ₹84 per litre in view of declining global crude oil prices.
