Delhi SIR Notices To Prominent Voters Spark Political Row, EC Clarifies Process
Delhi's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has triggered a political row after notices were issued to several prominent voters, including S Jaishankar, General Upendra Dwivedi, Praveen Sood, Vikram Misri, LK Advani and Arvind Kejriwal. The Election Commission has clarified that receiving a notice does not mean automatic deletion from the voter list and said the notices are part of the verification process.
