There's no ban, no licencing, and no licence raaj, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said. "Unfortunately, the communication wasn't the best and the most perfect. The Indian digital ecosystem is at an inflection point. In the next 3-5 years, the demand for digital devices - smartphones or laptops or servers - will exponentially go up. As a responsible government, we want to ensure, that everything that goes into the Indian internet is all trusted devices. Hence we don't want equipment coming into the country that is not trusted. Most of the servers and laptops are manufactured in one geographical area, I won't name it. But you get it. We don't want that dependence. This is an import management system," he said.
