At least 21 people have died in a fire at a hotel in South Delhi's Malviya Nagar this morning. Out of the 21 killed in the hotel fire, 17 were foreign nationals. A Malviya Nagar resident alleged that hanging electrical wires and poor safety enforcement have long been major concerns in the area. Referring to a previous fire incident, he said authorities often act only after disasters occur, while many guest houses and buildings continue to operate with a single entry-exit point, raising serious safety risks.
