Congress Asks Siddaramaiah To Decide On Rajya Sabha Offer Soon
The Congress leadership has reportedly asked Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to decide within days whether he is willing to take up a Rajya Sabha seat, with nominations closing on June 8. During a one-on-one meeting with Rahul Gandhi, Siddaramaiah was reportedly told that decisions on Karnataka’s leadership transition must consider both the 2028 Assembly elections and the 2029 Lok Sabha polls.
