Successful Treatment Of Unusual Case Of Black Fungus

A rare case of Mucormycosis or Black Fungus in a patient who had recovered from Covid has been successfully treated in Bengaluru. Given the symptoms of weakness on one side and slurred speech, it was at first considered that the patient had suffered a post-Covid stroke. She did not show the usual symptoms of Black Fungus and had not been given steroids. It was later found that Black Fungus had reached her brain. Fortunately, the patient was successfully treated.
