Economist and Psephologist Surjit Bhalla speaks to NDTV on his new book 'How We Vote'. Mr Bhalla has tracked Indian elections for four decades. The BJP is likely to win between 330 and 350 seats, with an upward swing of 5-7 per cent of the 2019 numbers, Mr Bhalla said. He said the Congress is likely to be below its 2014 tally of 44, or 2 per cent less. The BJP may win over five seats in Tamil Nadu, he added. The CMIE data is giving false hope to the Opposition to build a narrative of unemployment, Mr Bhalla said.
