The BJP has launched a 10-day, 200-km padyatra in Karnataka from Raichur to Ballari, targeting the Congress government over issues including the Valmiki Corporation controversy, farmers' distress, unemployment, reservation concerns and alleged recruitment corruption. Led by Karnataka BJP chief B.Y. Vijayendra, the march runs from September 1 to 10, with Union Minister Pralhad Joshi inaugurating it. Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has hit back, saying the BJP's campaign will only benefit the Congress.
