Bengaluru Startup Trains Dogs To Detect Cancer Using Breath, AI & Sensors
At a unique research facility in Bengaluru, specially trained dogs are being taught to detect possible signs of cancer from human breath samples. Health-tech startup Dognosis combines canine responses with sensors and AI to analyse behavioural signals, exploring a non-invasive approach to early cancer screening. The startup says its trials have recorded over 90% accuracy across seven major types of cancer and is planning real-world testing, with a commercial launch targeted for 2027.
