Bengal Governor Shares Concerns Raised By Students After Kolkata Rape-Murder In Hospital
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose today said he has received many complaints from students who fear for their lives in pursuing their course due to the unsafe environment, following the rape and murder of a medical student in Kolkata hospital. "I was in my room, interacting with some medical students. They told me 'please deliver us from fear psychosis, please give us protection'. They said they have no security inside the campus, and now they don't have security outside," Mr Bose told NDTV. "Some girl students told me they have nowhere to go, and their parents are asking them to leave the profession, give back the bond amount and return home. Life is more important than this," they say.
