Bareilly Violence | 'Poster About Love, Not a Crime': Imran Masood on UP Crackdown

Congress MP Imran Masood has strongly criticised the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government over its handling of the I Love Muhammad' poster controversy. Accusing the government of selective investigation, Masood pointed out the double standards—citing incidents where Hanuman Chalisa is recited in police stations without consequence, while Muslims are questioned for holding posters expressing love for the Prophet. He urged the Muslim community to be cautious and avoid giving the government any reason to target them with hate. Emphasizing that the message was one of love, Masood said standing with such a poster should not be treated as a crime.
