Palestine Ambassador On Conflict With Israel: "It's A Genocide"

"It's not suffering, it's a genocide," said H.E. Abdullah M.A. Abushawesh, Ambassador of Palestine to India while speaking at the NDTV World Summit 2026. "This is not our war as a Palestinian and we did not dream of being under this Israeli genocidal war. It's not only Israel: many other countries are, of course, part of this genocide, supporting Israel with weapons. Now it is not a secret that the United States of America, in one loud and clear word, is supporting and still supporting Israel with weapons. In the United Nations, where I spent 8 years, the United States of America used the veto 6 times to prevent voting and to discarnate in Gaza. It's not humanitarian suffering, it's a genocide, textbook genocide." Abushawesh said that while 125 children were killed in Iran, 22,000 children have been "slaughtered" in Palestine. Over 5,000 Palestinians continue to be missing.
