Assam News | 400 km Yatra and Reel Contest: Assam BJP’s Mega Election Outreach Begins

Ahead of the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, the Assam unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a massive outreach campaign combining traditional and digital strategies. The party’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, will cover over 400 km across 22 key constituencies from February 28 to March 6, engaging with voters in both rural and urban areas. In addition, the Assam BJP has introduced a “Reel on Development” contest, inviting citizens—especially young voters—to create short social media videos highlighting the state’s development initiatives under the BJP government. Addressing the media at Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati, Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita said the initiative aims to showcase Assam’s growth story across sectors while strengthening the party’s connection with youth and first-time voters.
