Union Home Minister Amit Shah, leading the BJP's campaign in Bihar, launched a sharp attack on the RJD-Congress alliance while addressing a rally in Siwan. He praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for freeing Bihar from "Jungle Raj", a term the BJP frequently uses to target the RJD. Shah also hit out at the Congress for fielding Osama Shahab, son of the late gangster-turned-RJD leader Shahabuddin, saying the people of Bihar are getting a chance to celebrate "two Diwalis" this year - one political and one festive.
