Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level security review meeting at Delhi Police headquarters, attended by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and senior police officials. The nearly four-hour meeting focused on law and order arrangements amid protests over the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Officials also reviewed security preparedness ahead of the Opposition's planned mega rally on November 1. Meanwhile, a political showdown has intensified after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "failed product" jibe at Rahul Gandhi. BJP president Nitin Nabin accused Gandhi of being part of a foreign-operated toolkit to destabilise India, while Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said Gandhi had generated fresh enthusiasm among young voters. Opposition leaders also criticised the Prime Minister, as political tensions continue to rise.
