A Tribute To India's Modern Masters
This week, we are paying homage to India's modern masters through three very different means: first, we visit Christies Auction House's India Sales preview, where they are auctioning more than 70 works by India's artistic titans. We discuss last year's world-record-breaking Christies auction, and their predictions for this year. Then, we interview modern artist Krishen Khanna and learn more about his life, work, and contemporaries. Finally, we pay a visit to an art school in New Delhi where students who are taught about these modern artists put their study into practice by recreating their works: on a car. Also on the show, we will share upcoming events happening in the art world.
