- German traveller Alexander Welder praised the Vande Bharat train's modern features and spacious seating
- He highlighted the rotating seats and ample overhead luggage space in the executive class coach
- Welder showed meals served, including dal, sabzi, chapati, rice, ice cream, and packaged snacks
A German traveller was recently left in awe of his experience aboard an Indian train, and his positive review went viral on social media. Alexander Welder travelled on a Vande Bharat train in the executive class. He introduced it as "India's most modern train." On entering the coach, he was impressed with the set-up of the seats and compared it to those found in Japanese or Chinese high-speed trains. He was also amazed at how spacious the overhead luggage compartment was - he pointed out how one can easily fit a large suitcase in it.
What Alex found especially "cool" was the fact that he could rotate the seats to face the window. His travel companion and he were seen playfully moving the seats as the train continued its journey. The German vlogger also gave glimpses of two types of toilets on board: the Indian-style and the Western-style.

The content creator then showed what his meals looked like in the Vande Bharat executive class. The pre-ordered one consisted of dal, sabzi, curry, chapati, rice and ice cream. Snacks were also included in his ticket, and Alex marvelled, "How crazy is that?" He showed off a tray with packaged farsan, a juice tetra-pack and other treats. In the end, he revealed that he paid Rs 2,100 for his five-and-a-half-hour ride (inclusive of the food).

Alexander captioned the viral video, "Taking India's Most Luxurious Speed Train." Several Instagram users in the comments section pointed out that there are more luxurious trains available in India. Check out some of the reactions below:
"Love it when our guests from around the world enjoy our facilities to the extent of whatever is on offer. Atithhi Devo Bhavah!"
"That's a really good price compared to Europe. Sometimes you don't even get to sit in Germany without seat reservations if trains are very full."
"This is not the most luxurious; there are many tourist-based special trains too."
"You should try Maharajas' Express, Palace on Wheels, Golden Chariot, and Deccan Odyssey."
"This is not luxurious. The Maharaja train is still available in India for experiencing luxury."
"It's not the most modern; this is one of many. Sadly, social media doesn't show the good part."
"Enjoy your stay, brother."
"That would be more than 150$ in the US."
In the past, Alex Welder has shared several videos praising different aspects of India, and many of them have gone viral. For instance, some months ago, he shared his thoughts about Delhi's metro system being better than that in Western Europe.
