- A viral video shows Indian railway staff dumping trash from a moving train onto tracks
- The clip sparked debate on social media about cleanliness and waste management on trains
- Users called for stricter rules and better training for onboard housekeeping staff
A video shared by UK travel vlogger Backpacker Ben has gone viral on social media, showing a shocking moment aboard an Indian train. In the clip, a railway staff member-wearing a uniform marked "OBHS" (On-Board Housekeeping Service)-is seen sweeping a pile of trash down the aisle before using a wiper to push it straight out of the moving train and onto the railway tracks.
The garbage includes empty plastic bottles, wrappers, paper, and other waste items. As the act unfolds, the vlogger narrates his disbelief. "Guess where he pushed it. On the tracks. Unreal, mate. All of it just shoved onto the tracks," he says in the video, adding that the staff member noticed him filming but "didn't care."
His friend, sitting nearby, reacts in surprise, saying, "He probably thinks he did nothing wrong."
Backpacker Ben later addresses his viewers directly: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the trains of India." The caption of his post reads, "How they clean trains in India."
