- Travel can be stressful, requiring careful management of documents and bags
- Air France prints connecting flight boarding passes on one slip to reduce hassle
- Founder of AI startup praised the design as a simple yet meaningful upgrade
Travelling for a holiday can be fun, but the journey can be stressful. One has to ensure they do not forget their passport or ID proof, manage all their bags at the airport, keep their phone charged, and so on. With so many things running through our heads, provisions that make our journey simpler and smoother can make a big difference. In a recent X post, Mukund Jha, founder of AI startup Emergent, shared a picture of an Air France boarding pass from his recent flight, reflecting on the "great design".
In the boarding pass, we see the airline has printed both boarding passes on one slip - Bengaluru to Paris, and then Paris to San Francisco. This prevents the hassle of handling two separate boarding passes, a simple but helpful design for people who often travel on connecting flights.
In the post, Jha wrote, "This is what a great design looks like. Simple change: Printing both boarding passes on one slip = Massive upgrade to traveller's life - less hassle/anxiety, smoother journeys! I love it when simple solutions upgrade your life in a meaningful way! Best designs are simple and obvious in hindsight."
