Trinamool Leader Found Dead

A BJP leader was found dead this morning in a village in West Bengal. Locals found his body hanging from a tree in Bankura district's Nidhirampur village after which they informed the police.

The death of a BJP booth-level leader in West Bengal's Purba Medinipur district kept the political cauldron on the boil in the state as the saffron camp alleged that he was murdered by the Trinamool Congress.

A Trinamool leader was found in West Bengal's Hooghly district on Monday, police said. Ritesh Roy, 45, a cooperative society chairman from East Midnapore district's Marishda village, was found dead near Hooghly's Dadpur village. He had been missing since February 7.

Politics appears to have kept the embers in West Bengal's Asansol burning days after clashes erupted over Ram Navami rallies. The Mamata Banerjee government has blamed BJP leaders of fueling the violence, the BJP holds the ruling Trinamool Congress's appeasement politics responsible and the Communist Party of India blames them both.
